About Eyelash Extensions
Individual eyelash extension treatments are one of the fastest growing salon treatments in the UK today. Synthetic individual lashes are applied one at time to the natural eyelash to create a fuller and/or longer look.
Are eyelash extensions suitable for everyone?
Apart from those clients suffering from Alopecia or Dry Eye Syndrome everyone can wear individual eyelash extensions as they come in various lengths, thicknesses and curls.
Can eyelash extensions be worn while swimming and on holiday?
As long as the lashes are waterproof, chlorine proof and temperature resistant as in Couture lashes then yes. They are ideal to give you a glamourous look whilst around the pool, beach or swimming without the need for mascara.
How long do lash extensions last?
Lashes if applied correctly will last anything between three and five weeks depending on the natural lash growth cycle. With recommended maintenance this can be extended up to twelve weeks.
How should they be removed?
Removal should always be undertaken professionally and is a simple pain free procedure.
Can normal make-up and eye products be used with the eyelash extensions?
Normal eye-shadow and eyeliner can be worn. If mascara is worn is must NOT be waterproof. Oil based make-up remover should not be used. Normal eye creams can be used.
Does it hurt the client or damage their natural lashes?
If applied correctly by a fully trained Lash Therapist then the procedure is completely pain free and relaxing. Providing correct aftercare procedures are followed and maintenance or removal is performed professionally there will be no damage to the natural lash.
Can clients who wear contact lenses or glasses have eyelash extensions?
Yes. A fully trained therapist will discuss such areas with the client during the consultation where consideration will be given to the length of the lashes for spectacle wearers.
